Shaz Newborn Must Haves! Part 2

Image
I don't know if many of you remember, but when the boys were about a month old, I published my new parent must-haves . They weren't specific to twins or anything, but I felt it necessary to update that post now that I am on baby #3. :) I will start out with the obvious - diapers. As a new parent, I had no idea which was best...so I asked around. People had many different preferences, but both Jim and I love " Pampers Swaddlers ". We find the swaddlers fit best and have minimal leaks. We also like the "wet diaper indicator" line that turns from yellow to blue. So yup, PAMPERS. Big fan. Hospitals #1 choice, too. Here's Cal the night he was born... Swaddleme Brand Swaddles. Hands down the best swaddles for nighttime. I have written about these about a hundred times. SO moving on... Scent free dish soap. I like to clean each bottle by hand (I know, I am crazy) with this  natural scent free dish soap.  It allows me to soak, clean, rinse...

Practicing Being Big Brothers!

We started putting together some things for Baby C's nursery tonight. But before doing so - we had a wonderful relaxing Sunday. It was beautiful weather, so we spent most of the day outside. We unpacked and cleaned out our cars from the wedding. Fortunately, we were the ones that brought home their wedding cake and cupcakes, so the boys got to enjoy some wedding cupcakes themselves! I will also buy a lot of vegetable plants for a full blown garden this summer, but for now I am starting small. I bought a black window box, some soil, and a few plants. I haven't put anything together yet - but the boys enjoyed themselves. On the way home, we stopped at the park and killed some time before Jim came home from work. After wor...

Awaiting Baby C...and Days with A&B

In honor of national sibling day...I will talk about all three of my children. :) Jim went through all the baby bins in the attic and brought down a couple of them for me to sift through and figure out what I needed immediately. I went through them, reorganized some things, and also cleaned up a bunch. I also took all the 12-18 month clothes out of the boys room and packed that up for the next baby.  I found this mobile from when the kids were babies in DC. I only had one of them, so it went on the changing table for them to share. Now Baby C gets to have this one all to himself/herself on the crib. We have about a dozen of these blue bins in the attic with the boys stuff. Then I came across the bin with the bottles, breast pump, etc -- basically all things related to feedings - and any/everything by the brand Medela . I think I'll need about a quarter of the bottles I needed for the boys. This whole thing is packed with 2oz, 4oz, and 8oz bottles. I took out the...
