Keeping up with Conor Caden and Cal

Life has been busy! Trying to keep the boys busy while managing both the house and my job, as well as Jim's job hasn't been easy but it's been fun and memorable. I have really enjoyed seeing the things the boys know - and doing different things with their teachers and classes. Here are a few highlights of our days over the last week or so. Our plants are really growing! Caden and Conor often still end up in the same bed at night. We made "slush" the other night - yup, slush....for the kids. And frozen margaritas for Mom and Dad! Hehe We went on an awesome family walk the other night when it was real warm out. We went back to the Rag Rock area - and the kids were great. We've been checking our plants and watering them daily. We have sunflowers, arugula, basil, rosemary, chives and lavender all planted and ready to go! Looking forward to spring. Dad set up his "computer lab". The boys have been ...

Sooooooo....how's the cooking, eating, and drinking going?  I feel like I went on a cooking spree this first week and I can really feel it. I haven't been outside much, but trying to do indoor workouts to at least move my body. Last night, I made some peanut butter cookies and filled a few of them with nutella. OMG, whyyyy did I do that? Shayla - this dish especially made me think of that message you sent me on instagram haha. It was random, but tasty. I have to be honest, I overcooked the chicken and it was dry. These were yummy! I made them first. We had leftover spiral ham from Theresa's baby shower. So I made these (sort-of) cobb salads. I added cheddar cheese, egg, hummus, ...

Keeping the Week Going...

Day Four - Life at Home - 3/23/2020 Here we go again! Grammy came over to read a story. Caden was literally reading the book "Rick is Sick" - great for beginner readers. I did two workouts - the first was at 9AM via zoom. It was called a banana core workout which engages your core and upper leg muscles. I also tried the 21 day fix for the first time. I am feeling really good today (after a wicked gross day yesterday). Hoping to keep it up. Caden and Cal were the best workout buds! Conor will likely be more interested when he feels better. We practiced our letters and lots of rhyming words! I had them use the white board which they seemed to like more than their notebooks. Mom needed a break.... We picked up our new Chrome book (with lessons/videos offered through Woburn Public Schools) and played at the Joyce. We ran around, played tag, wrote our name with sticks, and walked through the woods. Photo session! :) ...
