Shaz by the Sea

The timing of this blog is  really  funny. I was saying in my last post that I wanted to compile a list of my favorite things - like favorite playground, favorite restaurant, favorite activity to do with the kids, etc. As I was writing out my list, I thought I would add  my favorite coffee place: Boston King Coffee in Woburn Four Corners. Then I remember I had blogged about it before - I looked for the post and it's from October 2 years ago. Then I wanted to write about my favorite playground (Spaulding rehab playground in Charlestown) and I blogged about THAT two years ago in a separate post! So there must be something about me and fall and favorites and lists. Here's an update to the post from October 2016 . Favorite Restaurant - Bocelli's If you know anything about me, you know I like simple things - and when I like something, I LOVE something...like, I'm all in. My friend Keryn introduced me to Bocelli's in Medford probably something like 10 years ...

October means fall fun and lots of birthdays to celebrate - like Jimbo and my Godson Jared!!  We've done lots of celebrating this month so far and it's been fun.  Here are a few pics of those festivities.  Four generations! Me and Jared :) Jim's birthday present - GUESS WHO! Haha. Caden took this picture of me! Caden and Conor's school pictures came back! Here are the proof images: We had a pumpkin carving party a few weeks ago and it was FUN! We had some pulled pork, grilled some steak and burgers, and had a signature cocktail of champagne with apple cider. We started the Learn to Skate program in Woburn. In just one week, the boys have improved tremendously. I am sooo proud of them! All for now. I took a 6 month hiatus from Shazbythesea - but I am back!! To recap the last few months - we spent a ton of time in the Cape - as much as we can with working and such. We went to the Cape for a week over the Fourth of July and again the first week in August, then some random weekends here and there, as well as Labor Day. Here are some pics from those trips! My friend Katie came down and the kids love her - especially Conor ;)  They always look for shells together. Conor actually took this pic! We finished our basement and we are SO excited!! It's great timing with the cooler weather coming up. This gives the kids another space to play. We love it so far. Jim just finished the pool table too! We also went swimming in a friends pool (heated!) and it was awesome. The kids have been so much more comfortable in the water this summer. It's been unbelievably easier and way more fun! ...
