Welcome Charlie Macrae Callahan!

Welcome to the family, Charlie!!

This post is a little delayed, but my sisters Chrissy and Lindsey welcomed their little baby boy on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.  Whats funny about that date is that ALL of my kids were born on a Tuesday! So not only are they all part Callahan, they are all boys, their names all begin with C - AND they were all born on a Tuesday. How fun!

Here is how Charlie entered the world...

On Tuesday morning I had called Chrissy and she said Lindsey's water broke but they didn't have a plan or know exactly what that meant. They were on the phone with the doctor figuring out next steps. They didn't know whether to go to the hospital immediately or wait a bit at home. Turns out, they were told to head right in! Here they are on their way to Lenox Hill Hospital in NY.

After a pretty quick birth (probably didn’t feel like that at the time but he came quick!), Charles Macrae was born weighing 8lbs 5oz and was 20 inches long. He didn't stay long with his Mommys because he had ingested some meconium (I believe technically called "meconium aspiration") which caused Charlie to have some severe labored breathing. He needed to stay in the NICU for about 4 days. He is such a strong little man and is now doing excellent.

Uncle Matt and Auntie Kel met Charlie at the hospital in NY!!

Charlie, Cal, and Conor and Caden ALL wearing the same green/white newborn onesie. :)

There are countless photos and I could go on and on, but I wanted to share this amazing little human to my blog world!  Congratulations, Lindsey and Chrissy - he is PERFECT! Love you guys!

Shaz
