Enjoying Cal, and All Three Boys!

Image
When we lived in DC, I remember having the twins in their double stroller, two car seats in and out of the house, and basically struggling to do simple errands like grocery shopping and trips to the doctor. I also remember driving around and seeing moms carry their baby on their hip to run into the bank - or into Starbucks. I am not going to lie, a small part of me was jealous that they had one baby and could do things easily. I know, I am SO unbelievably lucky to have two healthy boys - but I was jealous. I will be honest. Now fast forward two years and I have Cal. The boys have spent the last three weeks at daycare and I feel like a Mom of a singleton baby. Don't get me wrong, there isn't ONE MINUTE that I don't think about Conor and Caden. Like the other day, I went to visit a friend of mine and we walked to Davis Square. The whole walk there, I constantly thought about them and how the boys would've loved the walk, loved being outside, loved the playgrounds we wal...

Lots of Firsts for Baby Cal!

Image
Baby Cal. What a good baby. I just love spending time with him. Here is a little solo photo shoot from our first few days at home together. First bath at home! First playtime with his brothers! First baby wearing opportunity, even though I have three kids! (Hi Cay!) First family outing as a family of 5! Conor sleeping.... Caden sleeping... Cal sleeping...haha peanut. On a forward-thinking note, I am going to try and implement a schedule in a few weeks. Right now, I am enjoying the peace and quiet of the sleepy newborn phase. Once he hits 4 weeks or so, I will try and wake him more during the day to feed and stay awake.  Here's what that will hopefully look like....good thing is, 2 out of 3 kiddos are already on a great schedule. So I feel like bringing one up to speed won't be as difficult. :) 7AM   Feed Cal and give C and C breakfast. 7:45    Diaper changes for all boys, playing and talking,...

9+ Month Pregnancy Update!

Image
I realized it's time for another pregnancy update! I haven't written one since the beginning of my third trimester here in this post . Current belly pic, car style selfie. I have been trying to stay active, while still trying to "rest" -- which is a tough balance. I walk often during my work day and also recently started prenatal yoga. I've only gone to a couple classes but I really love it. Again, I  could be stretching more, but at least I have kept up with some physical activity.  Cravings: I have a serious sweet tooth (not just pregnant - that's me in real life), so I have been eating a lot of ice cream, dark chocolate and fruit …mostly watermelon and any kind of fresh berries. I have also been eating bananas as I feel the potassium helps with swelling and leg cramps (haven't had those in a few weeks now thank goodness). Weight gain:  I am at the point where I now go to the doctor on a weekly basis. This week I go on Thursday. Last wee...
