Mimosas and Massages

Image
About a month or so ago, my friend Suz reached out and asked if I wanted to go away for a girls weekend like we did a few years ago. We were hesitant with COVID but ended up choosing a fun weekend getaway in Chatham. We asked Abby to join since she has two little boys. Needless to say, we all needed a BREAK!  Dinner Saturday night! Impudent Oyster  in Chatham.  We made a nice spread at the house one afternoon - post massages. It was glorious. Great pairing with the Jordan cab. ;) A little bit about our house: We stayed in chatham. Suz was a rockstar and found an awesome place. It was great for us because we were able to walk to Main Street and grab dinner/drinks/brunch.  We were saying if we would go back with the kids, we would prefer something closer to a beach, preferably walkable.  We used the Zeel app to book massages. A wonderful woman came to our house and we each took a turn getting a massage. She also works at CBI so it was a win win in our book.   I bought some more of my fav

Stunning Autumn Strolls

Over the weekend, we visited Auntie T, Mark and Noah at their house and went on a nice walk. They live right across from a cute bike trail so we walked down towards Stow. We’ve brought the boys over there before, and hiked through the woods, but this time we had Noah’s stroller and stayed on the paved bike trail. It was a beautiful day. The kids (and adults) loved it.  When it was time to turn into the woods where we brought the boys before, Conor remembered it! He was asking why we weren’t going in the woods - it was funny he has been there once and knew where to go. We continued on the trail and he liked pushing Noah’s stroller. Then of course we find this super steep hill and the boys (and T’s dog Vina) tried climbing to the top. The twins made it but Cal needed a little push - so Jimbo climbed up there with them and walked back towards Ts house a bit.  Then we all met up again! The boys were fascinated by Auntie T’s darts skills. She killed it!!! We spent Sunday brewing some beer a

“Mom, what should we bake today?”

Music to my ears! Lately, on the weekends, Caden has been asking me what we should cook or bake (mostly bake). We had lots of apples so I suggested we make another apple pie.  I sent my sister a text and she asked if we make three apple pies a week - sure feels like it!! It’s super fun to cook with them because they want to help and learn. Then we watched Ratatouille because they loved watching the eat cook! Haha fun morning. Now it’s a beautiful day so we’re going to spend some time outside. We played UNO while the pie baked. Conor was the time checker.  All for now! Enjoy this gorgeous fall day! xo, Shaz
