Juice Cleanse - Day 2!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I started a juice cleanse yesterday. I ordered online through the website "Squeezed".  I heard about this on my cousin Jessica's radio station and it sparked my interest. Fourth of July is coming up (as is my vow renewal) and we'll be spending a ton of time on the beach. That said, I needed something to kick my butt in gear asap. What I liked most about the website was that they offer same day delivery which is huge. Once you have something in your brain, you want to do it immediately - #impulsebuyer am I right??


I ordered the 4 day cleanse which includes 5 juices per day. Juices 1,3,5 are your meals and 2,4 are used as "snacks". I opted for the spicy option, which substitutes one juice as a spicy one (a snack one). They also included a few bottles of cashew milk which is supposed to be helpful post workout. It is also super high in calories, so I haven't had much of it. I tried a few sips yesterday and it was good - but I definitely don't need it. Prior to my cleanse, I eliminated most sugars, dairy, and decreased my alcohol intake. That way, my body wasn't in complete shock when I started the juices.

This is how they arrived on my front steps:




So like I said, I ordered the juices around 9am on Monday and they arrived by 9pm that same night. How cool. I started the cleanse yesterday, which was Tuesday. I tried all 5 juices. Here is what they looked like and their ingredients:



  • Drink 1 (morning meal) - Orange, Pineapple, Carrot, Apple, Beet, Ginger, Lemon - 180 calorie
  • Drink 2 (am snack - spicy) - Jalapeno, Pineapple, Lemon, Apple, Turmeric, Orange - 210 calories
  • Drink 3 (mid day meal) - Coconut, Pineapple, Spinach, Apple - 170 calories
  • Drink 4 (pm snack) - Apple, Jicama, Carrot, Lime, Turmeric, Ginger - 160 calories (my fav)
  • Drink 5 (pm meal) - Watermelon, Cucumber, Apple, Spinach, Lemon, Dandelion - 150 calories

If I were to rank them each by my favorite to least favorite I would say this:

  1. Drink 4
  2. Drink 1
  3. Drink 3
  4. Drink 2
  5. Drink 5


If you add all the calories for the juices each day, it would be approx 870 calories. But as I mentioned above, I opted for the "Spicy" juice cleanse and I only had about half of it because it was REALLY spicy for me. I also had 1-2 sips of the cashew milk which was 490 calories (holy moly), so in total, I would say I had max 850 calories yesterday.  They also suggest drinking 128oz of water, which is like 5 refills of my large tervis.

Today, I have a pretty bad caffeine deprivation headache, so I think I may cave and make a black coffee. I typically drink my coffee black so that isn't a change for me, but if anyone has any suggestions for this, I would be happy to hear it!
