Juice Cleanse Update

Image
I finished the juice cleanse a few weeks ago but was pretty busy gearing up for our vow renewal ceremony last Friday. So I am just now updating you all on my progress and “results”.   To back up a bit, I started a diet on June 6th in preparation for the ceremony. I really started eating less crap and drinking less and lost 6 lbs. Then I lost another 7 lbs after the juice cleanse. So in short, I was down 13 lbs!!!  I mean, I pretty much gained that over quarantine with eating/drinking/prednisone for months and months.  Anyway; I’m super pumped and would totally do another cleanse. I was talking with Chrissy and we both agree that incorporating 1-2 juices each day with a regular meal including veggies and protein would be the ideal lifestyle. I would LOVE to include more vegetables into my diet and this would be the perfect way to do it. So I just ordered another juice cleanse box and a butcher box order of meats. I’m really thinking this will be a nice healthier lifestyle ...

Juice Cleanse - Day 2!

Image
As I mentioned in my previous post, I started a juice cleanse yesterday. I ordered online through the website " Squeezed ".  I heard about this on my cousin Jessica's radio station  and it sparked my interest. Fourth of July is coming up (as is my vow renewal) and we'll be spending a ton of time on the beach. That said, I needed something to kick my butt in gear asap. What I liked most about the website was that they offer same day delivery which is huge. Once you have something in your brain, you want to do it immediately - #impulsebuyer am I right?? I ordered the 4 day cleanse which includes 5 juices per day. Juices 1,3,5 are your meals and 2,4 are used as "snacks". I opted for the spicy option, which substitutes one juice as a spicy one (a snack one). They also included a few bottles of cashew milk which is supposed to be helpful post workout. It is also super high in calories, so I haven't had much of it. I tried a few sips yesterday and it was ...

DIY Projects - Vow Renewal in CAPE COD

Image
Happy SUMMER VACATION!!  We finally finished remote learning and I couldn't be happier. It was getting to be quite challenging having all three boys join their calls (which were often around the same time) while working remote. Now we are enjoying some more time outside in a less structured manner. I am not constantly looking at the clock wondering who has a call next. With that said, Jim and I are now in full planning mode for our 10 year anniversary/vow renewal this summer on 7/10/2020.  We are having a little get together with family and friends in the Cape since we will head down there for the Fourth of July. My talented friend Jill is taking photos and she is also offering mini sessions for families since we will all be dressed up and on the beach - why not?! I have been working on some DIY projects to decorate.  I am NOT a creative or artistic person, so this has been challenging for me - but also a bit fun!  We started first with crafting our own Fa...

Keeping up with Conor Caden and Cal

Life has been busy! Trying to keep the boys busy while managing both the house and my job, as well as Jim's job hasn't been easy but it's been fun and memorable. I have really enjoyed seeing the things the boys know - and doing different things with their teachers and classes. Here are a few highlights of our days over the last week or so. Our plants are really growing! Caden and Conor often still end up in the same bed at night. We made "slush" the other night - yup, slush....for the kids. And frozen margaritas for Mom and Dad! Hehe We went on an awesome family walk the other night when it was real warm out. We went back to the Rag Rock area - and the kids were great. We've been checking our plants and watering them daily. We have sunflowers, arugula, basil, rosemary, chives and lavender all planted and ready to go! Looking forward to spring. Dad set up his "computer lab". The boys have been ...
